Basic Requirements

For venues with sound systems:

  • Sound requirements for solo shows: Two vocal mics with boom stands, one grounded power outlet within 20 feet of the stage, one direct input for an acoustic guitar, one direct input for a keyboard (if you are not providing a piano).
  • Sound requirements for full band shows: In addition to the above, one instrument mic or input for an upright bass amp, 2-6 instrument mics for a jazz drum kit (for larger venues only), possibly one instrument mic for an erhu (Chinese violin).
  • Piano requirements: Either a piano that has been recently tuned or a fully-weighted, 88-key keyboard with good piano sounds
